The season
Which colours, shapes and materials to wear this winter: five observations from our house, each with the pieces where you find them.
The colours of winter
Tone on tone
This season wears one colour from head to toe. Beanie, scarf and coat in the same colour family – the difference comes from material, not contrast.
Shop the lookThe low-slung beanie
Shorter than last year, but worn lower: the band sits just above the brow and the surface stays smooth. No pom-pom, no cuff.
Shop the lookA softer drape
Alpaca blends replace the stiff knits of recent winters. Scarves get longer, snoods wider – everything drapes instead of standing up.

Salvia and Terra
Alongside Espresso and Crema come two muted tones: a greyish green and a burnt reddish brown. Both go with everything already in your wardrobe.
Shop the lookThe Finnraccoon fur pom-pom
One detail that makes the look: soft, voluminous and good as new after washing – just blow-dry it.
